The First Step to Treating your Acne

To understand how to treat acne, you need to first know what type of acne you have.

Types of Acne

Whiteheads: A small, closed bump protruding from the skin, can sometimes be white in color.

Blackheads: Unlike whiteheads that are closed, blackheads are open at the surface and look like small, black dots that are caused by hair follicles being clogged.

Pustules: This type can be uncomfortably inflamed around the breakout area that is filled with yellow puss.

Papule: This type doesn’t have a head or any pus, but it can look discolored and may be sensitive to the touch.

Cysts: Like pustules, cysts have a large, re, pus-filled bump that is usually painful to the touch.

Pro tips to treat acne

Use a topical product that is anti-inflammatory or anti-bacterial. We recommend using our Acne+Oily Face Wash + Daily Acne Toner + Hydrate Jelly Face Moisturizer as it contains anti-inflammatory, acne scarring & soothing ingredients that actively and effectively fight all types of acne.

Clear skin is possible

I once believed that my teenage-pizza face-acne would POOF, and vanish once I reached my 20s. Man, was I very wrong. My acne stayed around much longer. Now that I am in my 30's and I understand what type of acne I have coupled with what does and doesn't work for my skin type, I have been able to properly manage my acne and keep it down.

It wasn't before I dived into skincare, explored and studied ingredients, and formulated a great 4-step system that has given me the best results yet. NDC's Acne+Oily Face Care Kit takes all the credit for my skin transformation today.

Tip #1- Face Wash

Use a face wash that contains ingredients that target inflammation and is anti-bacterial.

Tip #2 - Toner

Use a toner that is Alcohol-Free and designed to balance sebum production, improve the texture of your skin, and removes impurities.

Tip #3 - Moisturizer

Lastly, apply a gel-based moisturizer instead of an oil-based moisturizer. This decreases the chance of clogging your pores resulting in breakouts.
